We offer practical training opportunities for undergraduate physiotherapy students, integrating them into our team and contributing to their professional development.
Our experienced practitioners, Barry and Lyndsay, are certified clinical educators dedicated to guiding these students through their hands-on learning experiences.
Ensuring that the next generation of physiotherapists can gain invaluable real-world skills and insights, enhancing their academic journey and preparing them for successful careers.
At Craven Complete, we believe in the power of education and continuous improvement, benefiting both our patients and the broader physiotherapy community.
At Craven Complete, we believe in providing exceptional care whilst also contributing to the education of future physiotherapists.
We view the integration of student training into our practice as a mutually beneficial arrangement. Patients receive high-quality, attentive care, while students gain the essential practical experience needed to become skilled and knowledgeable professionals.
When you choose to be treated by our students, you benefit in several unique and valuable ways:
The students that train with us at Craven Complete are at the forefront of the latest developments in physiotherapy, bringing fresh knowledge and cutting-edge techniques learned academically.
Students are trained to perform comprehensive and meticulous assessments under the guidance of our experienced practitioners. This thoroughness can help with a more accurate treatment plan.
When being treated by students, you receive an extra layer of care because they work under the close supervision of our certified clinical educators, Barry and Lyndsay who make sure your treatment is optimised.
Craven Complete supports undergraduate physiotherapy students from Keele University who join us for practical training as part of their BSc or MSc degree. They become part of our team at various times through the year for 3-6 week blocks. During this time, you may be asked if you would be happy to be assessed and treated by them.
To be able to offer this, both Barry and Lyndsay have undergone training at the university to make us practice (clinical) educators. We don’t just observe the attending students but also help them master some of the practical skills they learn in the classroom as well as teaching them additional ones! Their attendance and practice are assessed whilst they are with us, and their grade goes on to influence their final degree.
Craven Complete is one of the few private clinics to offer this service. We feel both proud and privileged to undertake the role of practice (clinical) educators for Keele University, contributing to the education of the students and providing them with practical exposure to the real world.
Whilst we are able to teach the students a great deal, we also feel we learn from them. They help us maintain professional standards as well as teaching us new concepts and techniques as they are the next generation of therapists.
We know that starting a new treatment plan comes with many questions and concerns. That’s why we’re always here to help! Our friendly and knowledgeable staff are available to answer any questions you might have about our services, treatment plans, or what to expect during your sessions.
