Background & Sporting Achievements

Karen has been living in North Wales for 25 years, settling here as an RAF Physical and Adventurous Training Instructor. In this role she has travelled the world.

Karen comes to us with a strong sporting profile. As an international athlete attending 2 Commonwealth Games in Javelin, she won a silver medal in 1998 (being British number 1) and was record holder for 5 years. She has also swam at national level and been a part of the record-breaking Cross Channel relay swim. She now plays Goal Keeper for Queen Bees; one of the best local female football teams (in our opinion).

Professional Skills & Role at Craven Complete

On retiring from the RAF, Karen completed a Diploma in Personal Training and now regularly conducts fitness sessions as a RAF reservist. She also works on an equine stud and sheep farm.

With all of these skills, knowledge and life experiences, Karen is also bringing therapeutic massage and personal training services into Craven Complete. With a goal of wanting to help people regain strength and function; she will clearly be a valuable member of our team.
